BEH Weekly Family Message

Last week we jumped back into it after a week away due to conferences and the holiday weekend. It was great to keep seeing families coming in for conferences and to see students coming in with their BEH sweatsuits throughout the week.

It was also our last week of SUN School for the term and we got to see them celebrating their work over the term. Don't forget to look below for details to apply for SUN for next term if you are interested. Additionally, check out our Club call-out to see if you know anyone that would like to run a weekly student enrichment club starting in January.

Last week, we also started our food drive and are working on connecting families that need food or gift support over the coming holiday season with the correct resources. If your family could use some support please let us know so that we can be sure to connect you with the best resources to meet your family's needs.

Wreath Fundraiser Final Pickup

For a few of the orders left, we have a final pickup time:
2:30pm Monday, December 9 (today!) Behind the school/shed.
(Any wreaths not picked up this week will be donated. Thank you!)

We will have our virtual Site Council Meeting this week. This is a team of families, staff and admin that review our school goals and how we are doing in progressing towards meeting them. We look at where we could make adjustments or continue work to help us meet these goals by the end of the school year. We record this meeting and share it out with all BEH families the following week. Look for the recording from this meeting next week.

SUN School is done for this term. That means all students need to be picked up at 2:30 for the next two weeks. SUN will start again after we get back from Winter break in January. Here is the link for registering for Winter SUN School. The term will run from January 6th - March 6th, 2025.

Thank you to the 24 families that already completed the survey. If you haven't yet, we would really like your feedback around how we are doing in serving your students and family at Boise-Eliot/Humboldt. Our goal is to gather feedback through the survey from as many of you as possible. The survey is anonymous and it takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. We truly appreciate you taking the time to help guide our planning and work for the rest of this school year. Click this link to complete the survey. Thank you so much!

Our new Student Council would like to work on adding weekly clubs to BEH after winter break and are interested in learning skills such as a second language, sports, photography, yearbook, etc. If you or a family member have a specific skill and some consistent weekly time that you could help teach/run a club, please let me know what club you would be interested in facilitating and if there is a regular day that could work right after school. If you have ideas or other thoughts around this, please share it with us. We would love to support our students' interests and provide some additional enrichment for them to learn some new skills after school moving forward.
