Marysville Message
January 5th, 2024
Dear Marysville Families
Happy "sunnyish" Friday,
It was wonderful to be back together this week. Even though many students and staff have been absent with an illness. There are a lot of viruses going around. Please encourage students to practice health safety measures - wash hands frequently, cover coughs, stay home with a fever or vomiting. We have plenty of masks available at school for anyone to use. We also have at home COVID tests available in the office.
We are looking forward to connect with all families for a parent teacher conference before the end of this month. Please contact your classroom teacher if you do not have one scheduled yet.
The weather is turning colder (finally). Please have students dress warmly, since we try to go outside for fresh air and movement every day.
Our lost and found is overflowing with left behind sweaters, coats, hats and gloves. Please stop by to look for missing items or encourage your child to check. The lost and found is located in the front hallway of the school.

Upcoming Spring Statewide Assessments
Dear PPS families,
As required by the Oregon Department of Education, we are providing you with the 30 Day Notice and Opt Out Form for Statewide Assessments in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The notice is available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Russian and Somali on the PPS Research, Assessment, and Accountability website.
Statewide testing is part of our balanced assessment system that offers all students, especially historically underserved students, opportunities to demonstrate their progress. Information provided by student assessments is critical in helping us determine district and school priorities for improving student learning.
If you have questions, please contact your school office.
Thank you,
PPS Research, Assessment, and Accountability Department
