Marysville Message
December 8th, 2023
Dear Marysville Families
Happy Friday.
It was wonderful to have a full week of school together. I'm grateful that we will have another two full weeks together with the addition of instructional days for December 18th - 22nd.
Winter Break will now begin on December 23rd. I realize that some families may already have plans for that week. If your child will be absent please let us know and the absence will be excused. You can reach us at marysvilleinfo@pps.net or call the school office 503-916-6363.
We have had to make a few other adjustments to our school calendar.

We will not be having a spirit week this winter, but are very close to having our next full school Pawsitive Ticket Celebration. This week we had a wonderful cookie decorating party with the December Student Golden Ticket Winners. Once a month one student from every class is selected from the students earning Golden Pawsitive Tickets to participate in a special celebration.
We are so appreciative of all the kind and positive school behaviors that our students demonstrate to receive the Pawsitive Tickets. Our students really work to show the Marysville Mantra of Relationships, Respect, Rigor and Mindfulness!
At Marysville the daily practice of wellbeing strategies help us all to manage our stress, be more considerate of each other and focused on our work. See this wonderful lesson from one of our counselors for more information about Mindfulness at Marysville.
Report cards should have come home with your student this week. Please review them with your student and return just the envelope to school. Contact your classroom teacher if you have any questions and concerns. Your student progress will be discussed more thoroughly during parent teacher conferences.
We look forward to meeting individually with all of our families as soon as possible. Please respond to your classroom teacher's request to reschedule a conference. If you do not receive a message from your teacher, please contact the school office 503-916-6363 or marysvilleinfo@pps.net. Our teachers reach out mostly through email or remind messages.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Cathy Murray
