A Note from Principal Presley
This week, we welcomed two new humans to our campus, Ted Zehr and Ryan Stimmel. Ted is filling in as the assistant principal substitute, and Ryan is the new 6-8 PE teacher! With the minute requirements increasing for PE in middle school, the need for another PE teacher arose. This Tuesday’s PD and grade level professional learning community meetings this week focused on Data! After digging into the data, teachers began planning how they will reach those with the highest need or those who didn't show expected growth. It's been a wild year, but routines are in place and high levels of learning is taking place in every room. Hopefully, no more hiccups to keep this momentum rolling!
This week was also counselor’s week- boy, are we lucky to have such amazing counselors! Ms. Lannom is our K-2 counselor. She's here 2.5 days a week and brings great energy to the campus! She's solutions focused and gets into every class every week to build skills with our littlest learners. She's also helping out our cougar reps, too! Ms. Jablonski is our 3-5 counselor. She is also involved in the Portland Opera and is a major reason we are lucky enough to see their performances. Ms. Kobs is our middle school counselor but also serves as the yearbook coordinator, student of color coordinator, and a cougar rep lead!
Finally, it’s Super Bowl Weekend. I’m looking forward to the Usher halftime show and have my fingers crossed for Confessions Part II being on the list of songs sung!
Have a great weekend!

Calling All Spoons!
The school cafeteria is running low on metal spoons again. The Green Team is asking for donations to resupply the cafeteria so we don't have to use plastic spoons instead. Please drop them by the office if you are able to help! Thank you so much!!
